2023 Tata Safari's variant-wise features: Which one should you book
Tata Motors recently unveiled the 2023 Safari SUV, available in four main trims: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished. The entry-level Smart variant features LED projector headlights, a connected LED DRL strip, fabric upholstery, and a range of convenience and safety features. The Pure model adds a shark-fin antenna, dual 10.25-inch displays, a rear wiper and washer, and a reversing camera. Customers can book the new Safari for Rs. 25,000 both online and at Tata's dealerships across India.
Adventure variant offers 18-inch alloy wheels
The Adventure version of the Safari includes 18-inch alloy wheels, front LED fog lamps, tan upholstery, and a front armrest with cooled storage. It also gets multi-color ambient lighting, cruise control, height-adjustable driver seat, rear window sunshade, and multi-drive modes. The Adventure+ and Adventure+A variants offer a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, air purifier, paddle shifters (AT only), and a 360-degree camera. Electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, front parking sensors, and rain-sensing wipers, are also offered.
Accomplished trim boasts a bevy of advanced tech
The Accomplished trim of the Safari boasts 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, dynamic turn indicators, rear fog lamps, and a gesture-controlled powered tailgate. A 12.3-inch touchscreen system, voice-enabled dual-zone climate control, 6-way powered driver seat with memory function, ventilated front row seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and seven airbags, are provided too. The Accomplished+ variant adds second-row ventilated seats, connected car tech, a 10-speaker JBL sound system, and Alexa connectivity.
Dark edition available for Adventure and Accomplished variants
Tata offers the Safari's Adventure+, Accomplished, and Accomplished+ variants in the Dark edition. All Dark edition models feature #Dark badging, 19-inch black alloy wheels, and an all-black cabin theme. The facelifted Safari continues to use the current model's 2.0-liter diesel engine that makes 168hp of power and 350Nm of torque. The mill is linked with a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox.
Expected launch and pricing
The refreshed Tata Safari is set to launch in the coming weeks, with prices starting from around Rs. 16 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated SUV will keep competing with the Mahindra XUV700, Hyundai ALCAZAR, and MG Hector Plus.
