From budget-friendly to ultra-luxurious: Top cars arriving this September
The Indian automotive industry is gearing up for a series of exciting launches in September. The month will kick off with the debut of the Tata Curvv ICE, an SUV-coupe designed to compete in the compact SUV segment. The vehicle's specifications and features have already been revealed by Tata, except for its pricing details, which will probably be shared on September 2. The vehicle may start at around ₹11 lakh onward (ex-showroom).
A look at Tata Curvv ICE's specifications
The Tata Curvv ICE will be powered by a new 125hp, 1.2-liter T-GDi turbo-petrol engine. It will also offer both turbo-petrol and diesel powertrain options borrowed from the Tata Nexon model. The vehicle is equipped with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen, a fully digital driver's display of 10.25-inch, and a panoramic sunroof. Safety features will include 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and level 2 ADAS features. On a related note, the EV version of the Curvv is already on sale.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 to debut on September 5
Mercedes-Benz is set to make a significant impact with the launch of its first all-electric Maybach SUV in India, the Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680. The luxury electric SUV will feature an MBUX Hyperscreen setup similar to other EQS models but with unique Maybach-specific graphics and design elements. It is expected to come with dual motors and have a claimed range of around 600km. The SUV might come with a price tag of ₹3.5 crore.
Hyundai ALCAZAR (facelift) to debut on September 9
Following the Tata Curvv ICE, Hyundai is set to launch a midlife update for its ALCAZAR model on September 9. The revamped model will feature fresh exterior styling and an interior inspired by the CRETA's dashboard layout. The 3-row SUV will continue using the same 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and 116hp, diesel engine options as its predecessor. The starting price is expected to be around ₹17 lakh (ex-showroom).
MG Windsor EV set for launch on September 11
MG is set to introduce its Windsor EV, a rebadged version of the Wuling Cloud EV from Indonesia, on September 11. The electric crossover boasts a clean and minimalistic design both inside and out. It comes equipped with a large 15.6-inch touchscreen, a panoramic glass roof, and fully digital driver's display for enhanced user experience. For MG's upcomng EV, buyers may need to pay ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom).
