#AutoBytes: Honda to launch these 500cc bikes in India
Honda has some mind-blowing plans for motorheads in India. The Japanese automaker is gearing up to bring its entire 500cc motorcycle range to our shores sometime by the end of 2020. From fully-faired CBR500R to adventure tourer CB500X to Rebel 500 cruiser, the premium line-up is all set to attract young motorists in the country. Here's everything to know about these upcoming motorcycles.
Honda CBR500R
Honda's much-loved sports tourer, the CBR500R, is all set to hit the Indian roads. It comes with an eye-catching fully-faired look, a fully-digital instrument console, and an all-LED lighting setup. The motorcycle is fueled by a 471cc liquid-cooled motor that makes 48PS of power. For safety, it gets disc brakes on both the ends, along with dual-channel ABS.
Honda CB500F
If you are someone looking for a lightweight motorcycle with blaring performance, then Honda CB500F is all set to fill the void. The motorcycle shares its mechanical specifications as well as safety elements with its fully-faired sibling, the CBR500R, but is much lighter thanks to the lean design. It also gets a full-color digital instrument cluster and all-LED fitments for lighting.
Honda CB500X
Meanwhile, Honda will also bring its adventure tourer, the CB500X, to satisfy the off-roading enthusiasts in the country. The motorcycle sits on a steel diamond frame and comes with off-road friendly tires, a tall windscreen, and a decent ground clearance that makes it suitable for rough terrains. It is fueled by a 471cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 48PS of power and 43Nm peak torque.
Honda Rebel 500
Lastly, the Japanese automaker will launch the Rebel 500 for those who love cruising on the streets. Featuring an old-school cruiser design with a rounded LED headlamp and a fully-digital instrument console, the motorcycle offers a comfortable riding position and runs on blacked-out alloy wheels. It also packs a 471cc liquid-cooled motor that puts out 48PS of maximum power and 43Nm of peak torque.
