Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 EV debuts at ₹3 lakh
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, Ultraviolette, has launched the latest version of its electric motorcycle, the F77 Mach 2, in India. The updated model is available in two variants - standard and Recon. Both versions feature significant improvements in performance, features, and hardware. The design of the F77 Mach 2 closely resembles its predecessor, the Ultraviolette F77, but now comes with a new range of colors.
F77 Mach 2 and Recon: at a glance
The F77 Mach 2 is powered by a 27kW motor, while the Recon variant houses a more potent 30kW motor. The standard model is equipped with a 7.1kWh battery, whereas the Recon version features a larger 10.3kWh unit. These power units provide ranges of 211km and 323km, respectively. Additionally, the Recon version offers 10 levels of adjustable regenerative braking as standard, compared to three in the base model.
Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is faster than Tesla Model 3
The F77 Mach 2 boasts a 0-100km/h acceleration time of just 2.8 seconds, making it faster than the new Tesla Model 3 Performance. It can reach a top speed of 155km/h. The motorcycle's suspension system comprises of 41mm USD front forks and a preload adjustable monoshock. The braking hardware includes a single 320mm front and 230mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch wheels. Ultraviolette offers an extensive warranty of 800,000km/8 years on the battery and drivetrain.
What about the pricing?
Both versions of the F77 Mach 2 offer three ride modes, a 5.0-inch TFT display, auto-dimming lights, hill hold feature, ABS and dynamic stability control. The Recon variant additionally includes four levels of traction control. The starting price for the Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is ₹2.99 lakh for the first thousand customers while the Recon version is priced at ₹3.99 lakh. Pre-orders are now open with deliveries expected to start in May.
