TVS showcases NTorq 125 Race Edition at MotoSoul 2019
TVS Motor Company has recently concluded its first edition of the MotoSoul at Goa, a global event for performance motorcycle enthusiasts. During the two-day event, the automaker showcased a bunch of its popular two-wheelers, along with recently launched NTorq 125 Race Edition. The company has also introduced the TVS Racing Performance Gear for the motorheads. Here are more details.
First, a look at the NTorq 125 Race Edition
The NTorq 125 Race Edition comes as a more premium and sportier variant of the standard NTorq. It features a three-tone color scheme with 'Race Edition' decals on the side skirts and runs on 12-inch alloy wheels. The scooter also houses a fully-digital instrument console along with Bluetooth connectivity and an all-LED setup for lighting.
Power and performance
The NTorq 125 Race Edition is powered by the 124.79cc air-cooled single cylinder engine, which is capable of producing 9.4PS of power at 7,500rpm and 10.5Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter has a top-speed of 95kmph and promises a city mileage of 47kmpl.
TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition: On the road
The TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition comes equipped with disc brake on the front wheel and drum brake on the rear wheel. There is also a combined braking system (CBS) for better road handling. To handle suspension duties, the scooter houses conventional telescopic forks on the front and a mono-shock suspension on the rear.
How much does it cost?
As for the pricing, the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition costs Rs. 62,995 in India. At this price point, it takes on the likes of Honda Activa, Suzuki Access 125, and Hero Maestro Edge 125.

Further, TVS has also forayed into the riding gear space and launched its own safety and lifestyle accessories called TVS Performance Gear. The company is offering two sets of gear wherein the first set comprises jackets, pants, gloves, and boots. The second set comes with a mix of urban and casual wear including shirts, pants jackets, bags, sunglasses and shoes.
