    What's the story

Triumph Motorcycles Ltd. has taken the wraps off its much-awaited Tiger 900 range of adventure bikes.

The new line-up comprises Tiger 900 model, mild off-roader Tiger 900 GT, and adventure tourer Tiger 900 Rally. Notably, the latter two have a more feature-rich top-of-the-line Pro variant as well.

Meanwhile, the new motorcycles are likely to hit the Indian roads in Q2 2020.

    Design and features

A look at the Tiger 900 range

The Tiger 900 motorcycles feature a naked street design with a tall windshield, handlebars with heated grips, and heated seats (available on GT Pro and Rally Pro models).

Besides that, they also get an all-LED lighting setup as well as 7-inch full-color TFT (5-inch as standard) instrument panel which offers features like turn-by-turn navigation and smartphone connectivity via MyTriumph Bluetooth connectivity system.

    Internals

    Power and performance

The Tiger 900 range is powered by an 888cc engine that churns out 94bhp of maximum power at 8,750rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm (10% more torque than Tiger 800 line-up).

The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. Further, the premium Pro models also get Triumph Shift Assist feature for clutch-less gear-shifting.

    Safety

A look at the safety features

The Triumph Tiger 900 range comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both wheels, along with an inertial measurement unit (IMU) based ABS, traction control, and upto six riding modes.

To handle suspension duties, the motorcycles house Marzocchi's telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear. Meanwhile, Rally Pro model gets more capable Showa's suspension setup.

    Information

    And, what is the pricing?

As for the pricing, Triumph Tiger 900 range starts at GBP 9,500 (approximately Rs. 8.85 lakh). There is no word on the availability of motorcycles in India yet. However, reports suggest that British automaker might bring them to our shores sometime in Q2 2020.
