2024 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport launched at ₹12 lakh
Triumph Motorcycles has launched the MY2024 Tiger 850 Sport adventure tourer motorcycle in India. It is offered in two new color schemes, Korosi Red with Graphite and Roulette Green with Jet Black. These new additions do not impact the price of the motorcycle, which remains at ₹11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The original colors, Jet Black with Graphite and Diablo Red with Graphite, are still available. In terms of styling and powertrain, no changes have been made.
Triumph Tiger 850 Sport's engine and performance details
The Triumph Tiger 850 Sport is equipped with an 888cc, liquid-cooled, inline three-cylinder engine. This motor delivers a maximum power of 84hp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque output of 82Nm at 6,500rpm. The engine is coupled with a six-speed gearbox featuring a slip and assist clutch. According to Triumph, the service interval for the Tiger 850 Sport is either every 10,000km or annually, whichever comes first.
Construction and braking system of Triumph Tiger 850 Sport
The Tiger 850 Sport's construction features a tubular steel frame, a bolt-on subframe, and a twin-sided aluminium swingarm. The suspension system includes a 45mm upside-down fork in the front and a manually adjustable monoshock unit at the rear. The braking power is provided by twin 320mm discs up front, operated by Brembo Stylema four-piston Monobloc calipers, and a single 255mm disc at the rear with a Brembo single piston sliding caliper. A dual-channel anti-lock braking system is also included.
