Toyota launches Hilux Black Edition in India at ₹38L
What's the story
Toyota has officially launched the Hilux Black Edition in the Indian market at a price of ₹37.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
The latest entrant in Toyota's portfolio is a special edition of its popular pick-up truck aimed at luring more customers.
First unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Black Edition is based on the top-end High variant of the regular Hilux.
Design
It features a host of cosmetic upgrades
The Hilux Black Edition stands out with its all-black theme, which replaces the standard chrome elements.
The front radiator grille, bumper, fender garnish, fuel lid garnish, ORVM covers and door handles all get blacked out.
The alloy wheels and hubs are also finished in black. The rear "TOYOTA" lettering also gets black accents for a more stealthier look.
Performance
Toyota Hilux Black Edition retains its robust performance
Under the hood, Hilux Black Edition remains powered by a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine that churns out 204hp and 500Nm of torque.
However, this special edition is only available with a six-speed torque converter and comes with a standard four-wheel drive (4x4) system.
The vehicle also gets an Electronic Differential Lock with an Automatic Limited Slip Differential for improved off-road capability.
It comes with seven airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, front and rear parking sensors, and a rear parking camera.
Features
Inside, you get a touchscreen infotainment panel
The Hilux Black Edition offers an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and eight-way powered driver's seat.
You also get auto-dimming IRVM, auto headlamps, push button to start/stop the engine, dual-zone climate control, and a six-speaker sound system.
