2022 Toyota Glanza's CNG variant confirmed; to deliver 25km/liter
Japanese automaker Toyota had launched its 2022 Glanza hatchback in India earlier this week. And now, a listing on the official website has confirmed that a CNG version of the car is also on the way. The listing reveals that it will be named "e-CNG" and will deliver 25km/liter. The CNG-powered model could make its debut in the coming weeks.

With the call for environment-friendly cars increasing day by day, it is not surprising that more and more automakers are readying CNG versions of their cars. Toyota's confirmation about an upcoming Glanza CNG has attracted a lot of attention. Since it is a rebranded model of 2022 Baleno, we might also see a Baleno CNG in the coming weeks.
The hatchback is available in five color variants
The 2022 Toyota Glanza features a muscular hood, a mono-slat grille, a refreshed bumper, a wide air dam, and projector LED headlamps with DRLs. On the sides, it has blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 16-inch alloy wheels. A roof-mounted antenna and split-style LED taillights grace the rear end. It is offered in Sporting Red, Gaming Gray, Enticing Silver, Insta Blue, and Cafe White shades.
The CNG model will deliver a fuel efficiency of 25km/liter
The 2022 Toyota Glanza e-CNG is likely to be powered by the same 1.2-liter engine as the petrol variant. The mill could be linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Glanza e-CNG will have a claimed mileage of 25km/liter.
The car has a head-up display and six airbags
The facelifted Toyota Glanza features a 5-seater cabin with a dual-tone dashboard, automatic climate control, a head-up display, an Arkamys-tuned sound system, and a multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel. It packs a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. For passengers' safety, the car has six airbags, a 360-degree-view camera, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD, and hill-hold control.
2022 Toyota Glanza: Pricing and availability
The official pricing and availability details of the CNG iteration of the 2022 Toyota Glanza will be announced at the time of its launch. It should, however, carry a premium of around Rs. 60,000 over the petrol model that starts at Rs. 6.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
