Toyota is gearing up to introduce the facelifted version of its much-loved SUV, the Fortuner, by the end of this year.
Now, the undisguised images of the upcoming car have been spotted online, giving us an idea of the updated looks.
Meanwhile, the India-specific Fortuner will retain the mechanical specifications of the outgoing model.

How will it look like?
The new Toyota Fortuner will come with a host of styling tweaks including a redesigned front profile featuring a sleek grille, new headlamps, bumper, and triangular air inlets.
The car will also get a glossy black treatment on the roof, skid plates, and ORVMs, as well as an impressive rear profile with tweaked bumpers and restyled tail-lamp inserts.

Inside the cabin
Not much is known about the interiors of the new Toyota Fortuner as of now. However, quite like the existing model, the facelifted version will offer a spacious seven-seater cabin loaded with luxurious and hi-tech features.
The car is likely to sport a new infotainment unit with minor updates while retaining the standard safety features of the older variant.

What about power and performance?
The India-specific Toyota Fortuner will reportedly be offered with two BS6-compliant engine options: 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel.
In the current state of tune, the former produces 164bhp of power and 245Nm of peak torque, while the latter makes 175bhp and 420Nm.
Moreover, the aforementioned units are likely to be offered with both manual as well as automatic transmission options.
Pricing and availability
And, when will it arrive in India?
As per the reports, the Toyota Fortuner (facelift) is likely to arrive in India by the end of this year.
There is no word on its pricing as of now, but looking at the updates, it will carry a slight premium over the existing model that starts at Rs. 28 lakh.
