Tata Nexon hits 3-lakh unit production mark; gets new variants
Tata Motors has launched four new variants of the Nexon SUV in India, namely XZ+ (P), XZA+ (P), XZ+ (HS), and XZA+ (HS). They are clad in a Royale Blue shade and their bookings are open. As for the highlights, the trims offer new features like an air purifier and are available with petrol as well as diesel engine options.

The four new variants of the Tata Nexon have been launched in India to commemorate the car's three lakh unit production milestone. These trims should boost the vehicle's sales in the market. The SUV has been priced competitively on our shores. It takes on rivals such as the Hyundai VENUE, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
The car has LED taillights and roof rails
The Tata Nexon has a muscular bonnet, a sleek grille, a wide air vent, and projector headlights with DRLs. It is flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and alloy wheels. A roof-mounted antenna and wrap-around LED taillights grace the rear end. As for the dimensions, the SUV has a wheelbase of 2,498mm and a ground clearance of 209mm.
Two engine choices are available
The new trims of the Tata Nexon are fueled by a 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine that makes 108.5hp/260Nm and a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol mill that generates 118.3hp/170Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual/AMT gearbox.
Ventilated seats and multiple airbags are offered
The XZ+ (P) and XZA+ (P) variants of Tata Nexon have Benecke Kaliko upholstery, auto-dimming mirror, an air purifier, and ventilated front seats. Meanwhile, the HS models only offer an air purifier. A touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, multiple airbags, ABS, EBD, a rear-view camera, an engine immobilizer, and crash sensors are also available.
How much do they cost?
The XZ+ (HS) model of Tata Nexon costs Rs. 10.87 lakh, while the XZA+ (HS) variant is priced at Rs. 11.52 lakh. The XZ+ (P) and XZA+ (P) trims carry a price-tag of Rs. 11.59 lakh and Rs. 12.24 lakh, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom).
