Japanese automaker Suzuki has introduced a more emission-friendly and fuel-efficient version of the Swift Sport, its performance-oriented hatchback. The car is fueled by a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine mated to a 48V mild-hybrid technology. It promises a top speed of 210kmph and can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 9.1 seconds. Here are more details.
A look at the 2020 Suzuki Swift Sport
The Suzuki Swift Sport comes with a compact yet stylish look and sports a neat front fascia featuring a blacked-out grille with hexagonal patterns, wide air inlets, and LED headlamps. The car gets an attractive side profile with angular-looking alloy wheels, blacked-out B-pillars, and indicator-mounted ORVMs. On the rear, the car houses quad exhausts, a roof-mounted spoiler, and a rear-window wiper with defogger.
Inside the cabin
The Suzuki Swift Sport comes with a five-seater cabin featuring a height-adjustable driver seat, power windows, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel with cruise control. The car houses a semi-digital instrument console and a centrally-mounted touchscreen infotainment panel with Android Auto and Apple-carplay'>Apple CarPlay support. Will it arrive in India?
Going by the reports, the new Suzuki Swift Sport is unlikely to hit the Indian shores. However, the Japanese automaker recently unveiled the hybrid version of the standard Swift model at the 2020 Auto Expo. The latter is likely to be launched in India by the end of this year and could be priced around Rs. 10-15 lakh.
