Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition launched in India
Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced a new MotoGP Edition of its popular sports bike, the Gixxer SF 250, at Rs. 1.71 lakh. The new variant comes with Suzuki's MotoGP livery and carries a premium of around Rs. 1,000 over the standard variant. However, mechanically, it remains the same as the Gixxer SF 250. Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition: At a glance
The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition comes with race-spec 2019 Suzuki GSX-RR inspired livery. It gets special Team Suzuki Ecstar stickers on the front fairings and lime green pinstripes on both the wheels. As for electronic features, the bike sports a digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup including headlamp, side indicators, and taillights.
Power and performance
The Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition packs a 248cc oil-cooled parallel-twin engine which is capable of producing 26.5PS of power at 9,000rpm and 22.6Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. Further, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and promises a mileage of 38.5kmpl.
Here's a look at the safety features
On the safety front, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS as standard for improved road handling. To handle suspension duties, the motorcycle sports telescopic forks on the front and a swingarm type mono-shock suspension on the back.

The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP Edition is priced at Rs. 1.71 lakh in India and is around Rs. 1,000 costlier than the standard Gixxer SF 250. At this price point, the motorcycle goes up against rivals such as Honda CBR250R and Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
