Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition launched in India at Rs. 86,500
Japanese automaker Suzuki has launched a Standard Edition of its new Avenis scooter. It is priced at Rs. 86,500. The two-wheeler has a sporty look and a range of features, including all-LED lighting, trendy graphics, and a multifunctional instrument panel. It was first launched back in November with two variants, namely Ride Connect Edition and Race Edition.
Why does this story matter?
Suzuki launched the Avenis with a trendy and sporty look to attract young buyers. However, according to the company, it hasn't been able to meet the high demand for the scooter. The new Standard Edition has been introduced to close the demand-supply gap and meet customer expectations. Since it costs even lesser than the previous base trim, the demand is likely to rise.
The scooter has all-LED lighting
The Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition features a sporty design with an LED headlight-mounted front apron, a stepped-up single-piece seat, a split grab rail, a hinge-type fuel cap, and large under-seat storage space. It packs a fully-digital instrument panel and all-LED lighting. The Standard Edition is offered in Metallic Matte Fibroin Green, Pearl Blaze Orange, Metallic Matte Black, and Pearl Mirage White shades.
An 8.5hp, 124.3cc engine fuels the two-wheeler
The Suzuki Avenis is powered by a 124.3cc, 4-cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 8.5hp of power at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. Transmission duties are taken care of by a CVT gearbox.
The vehicle has a disc brake on the front wheel
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Suzuki Avenis is equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel, along with a combined braking system for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the scooter are handled by telescopic forks on the front side and a swing arm on the rear end.
Suzuki Avenis: Pricing
The Suzuki Avenis Standard Edition is priced at Rs. 86,500. On the other hand, the Ride Connect Edition carries a price-tag of Rs. 88,000, while the Race Edition costs Rs. 88,300 (all prices, ex-showroom).
