Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced a new variant of its best-selling scooter, the Access 125. The newly introduced drum brake alloy wheel model will join the already available standard Access 125 and Access 125 SE models, which are currently being offered only in variants: drum brake with steel wheels and disc brake with alloy wheels. Apart from brakes and wheels, the newly introduced model retains the design, features, suspension setup, and mechanical specifications of the already available Access 125 and Access 125 SE variants.
Suzuki Access 125: At a glance
The standard Access 125 comes with oval-shaped headlamps, body-colored front mudguard, and blacked-out seat as well as mirrors. On the other hand, Access 125 SE comes with rounded chrome mirrors, beige-colored leatherette seat, and a "Special Edition" logo emblem. As for electronic features, both scooters get a digital-analog instrument console, DC charging socket, halogen headlamps, and LED taillights.
Power and performance
Meanwhile, both the Access 125 and Access 125 SE scooters pack a 124cc single-cylinder engine which is capable of producing 8.5bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.2Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The scooters promise an ARAI-certified mileage of 64kmpl and a top-speed of 91kmph.
Suzuki Access 125: On the road
The Suzuki Access 125 comes equipped with disc/drum brakes on the front wheel, drum brake on the rear wheel along with combined braking system (CBS) for improved road handling. To handle the suspension duties, the scooter houses telescopic forks on the front and a swing arm type suspension on the rear side.

The drum brake alloy wheel variant of the standard Suzuki Access 125 costs Rs. 59,891, while the special edition model of the newly launched variant costs Rs. 61,590. Lastly, the scooter goes up against rivals such as Hero Maestro Edge 125, and Honda Activa 5G.
