Skoda to start bookings for RS245 sedan from March 1
Czech automaker Skoda is all set to commence the bookings for the Octavia RS245 sedan from March 1, 2020. The performance-oriented car, which was launched in India at the 2020 Auto Expo, is priced at Rs. 36 lakh. Notably, the company has allotted only 200 units of the premium sedan for our market. A look at the Skoda Octavia RS245
The Skoda Octavia RS245 gets a stylish look featuring company's signature butterfly grille with RS badging, wide air inlets, dual exhausts, and 18-inch sporty-looking alloy wheels. For lighting, the car houses projector LED headlamps with mounted DRLs, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and LED taillights. Moreover, it is offered in five color options: Rallye Green, Race Blue, Corrida Red, Magic Black, and Candy White.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Octavia RS245 gets a five-seater cabin with RS-specific 12-way power-adjustable front seats, two-zone climate control, and a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel. The car houses a massive 12.3-inch fully-digital instrument cluster and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity features. For safety, it gets up to nine airbags, ABS with EBD, a rear parking camera with sensors, and a host of driver-assist features.
Power and performance
The Skoda Octavia RS245 is fueled by a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter petrol engine mated to an automatic 7-speed DSG system that sends power to the front wheels. The motor is capable of producing 245PS of maximum power and 370Nm of peak torque.

As far as pocket-pinch is concerned, the Skoda Octavia RS245 is priced at Rs. 36 lakh in India. Skoda will commence the bookings of the car from March 1 via its official website at a token amount of Rs. 1 lakh. Lastly, the performance-oriented sedan goes up against Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
