SKODA KUSHAQ MONTE CARLO to be launched in April
Czech automaker SKODA will launch the MONTE CARLO variant of its KUSHAQ SUV in India in the second half of April, Autocar has claimed. The model will flaunt cosmetic changes both inside and out and offer new features including a fully-digital instrument cluster. It will be available with an option of 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter TSI engines.
Why does this story matter?
The MONTE CARLO will be the range-topping trim of the SKODA KUSHAQ and will offer better looks and more features as compared to other variants. The model should be priced competitively and attract a lot of buyers on our shores. On its debut here, the competition in the SUV segment will also be raised to a great extent.
The car will have 17-inch wheels and 'MONTE CARLO' badging
The SKODA KUSHAQ MONTE CARLO will sport a blacked-out treatment instead of chrome elements, "MONTE CARLO" badging on the front fenders, and red or white paintwork. It will have LED headlights with follow-me-home function, roof rails, a muscular bonnet, ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and designer 17-inch alloy wheels. A raked windscreen and wrap-around taillamps will also be available.
Two engine choices will be offered
The SKODA KUSHAQ MONTE CARLO will be fueled by a 1.0-liter TSI engine that makes 115hp of power and a 150hp, 1.5-liter TSI mill. Transmission duties will be handled by a 6-speed manual/torque converter automatic and a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The SUV will get ventilated front seats and single-pane sunroof
The SKODA KUSHAQ MONTE CARLO will have ventilated front seats, dual-tone red and black upholstery, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, a 6-speaker sound system, and red accents on the dashboard, center console, and doors. It will house a single-pane sunroof and a digital instrument cluster with red graphics. The safety of the passengers will be ensured by multiple airbags and a rear-view camera.
