Skoda Kodiaq Scout launched in India for Rs. 34 lakh
As an addition to its flagship Kodiaq range, Skoda Auto India has launched the Kodiaq Scout at Rs. 33.99 lakh. The new off-road focused variant arrives as the most affordable SUV from Kodiaq line-up and joins the already available Style and L&K models. Notably, the car comes with minor design changes and a dedicated 'Off-Road' mode while being mechanically same as the other models.
Skoda Kodiaq Scout: At a glance
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout sports an eye-catching look with tall and wide stance as well as a cascading grille surrounded by a chrome frame. The chrome work around the windows, dual exhausts, and silver-colored roof rails and skid plates add to its premiumness. For lighting, it houses sleek LED headlamps with DRLs, silver-finished ORVMs with mounted indicators, and LED taillamps.
Inside the cabin
The seven-seater Skoda Kodiaq Scout sports a blacked-out cabin with panoramic sunroof and wooden elements around the doors and dashboard. The SUV comes with 10 speaker Canton sound system and houses a 9.2-inch infotainment unit with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In addition, the car also offers premium features such as ambient lighting, ventilated seats, and automatic climate control.
Power and performance
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout is powered by the 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine. The unit is capable of producing 148bhp of maximum power and 340Nm of peak torque. For transmission duties, it gets a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox which sends power to all wheels.
Skoda Kodiaq Scout: On the road
The Skoda Kodiaq Scout comes equipped with disc brakes on all wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for improved road handling. The car offers nine airbags and houses a 360-degree camera as well as parking sensors. Moreover, it gets a bunch of driver assist features including park assist, vehicle stability control, and a dedicated 'Off-Road' mode which limits the speed to 30kmph.
