SKODA KODIAQ's online bookings resume after technical glitch
Online bookings for SKODA's KODIAQ resumed in India earlier this week after a technical glitch prevented potential buyers from ordering the premium SUV. "We want to officially communicate that the bookings for KODIAQ are on. There was never a halt in the bookings. We have been receiving new bookings through our dealer partners," the brand said in a statement. "The limitation on online bookings was due to a technical glitch and we have now fixed it on the website."
SKODA KODIAQ offers slew of premium features
The SKODA KODIAQ is available in a single L&K variant, priced at ₹40 lakh. It is powered by a 2-liter turbo-petrol engine that generates 187hp and 320Nm of torque, managed by a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The SUV comes equipped with high-end features such as ventilated and heated front seats with a massage function, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a digital driver's display. Other notable features include cruise control, ambient lighting, climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and nine airbags.
New KODIAQ is on the horizon
The next-generation SKODA KODIAQ is expected to launch in India either by late 2024 or in 2025. Built on the new MQB-EVO platform, the SUV has increased in length by 61mm. The second-generation KODIAQ will be introduced in India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) with pricing starting around ₹40 lakh (ex-showroom), same as the current model. It will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine and is likely to boast some new-age features, including ADAS safety suite.
