Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 revealed in latest leak
Royal Enfield is expected to launch the Scram 411 variant of its Himalayan bike in India later this month. Now, details of the upcoming vehicle have been revealed courtesy of a leaked brochure. Why does this story matter?
The Scram 411 will be the road-biased variant of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and shall be suitable for mild off-roading purposes. Except for a few cosmetic changes, both vehicles should be almost identical. The upcoming bike is tipped to be priced affordably and its good looks, list of features, and excellent performance should make it appealing to the customers.
The bike will have spoked wheels and semi-digital instrument console
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will have a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with small shrouds, a stepped-up single-piece seat, a pillion grab rail, a wide handlebar, fork gaiters, and a round headlight as well as mirrors. The bike will pack a semi-digital instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and will ride on wire-spoked wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tires.
It will run on a 24hp, 411cc engine
The Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will be fueled by a 411cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The mill makes 24.3hp of power and 32Nm of torque in the Himalayan.
It will get telescopic front forks
In terms of safety equipment, the Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the two-wheeler will be taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
