Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 to arrive on March 15
Chennai-based Royal Enfield has announced that it will introduce its Himalayan Scram 411 motorcycle in India on March 15. To recall, the vehicle has already arrived at dealership yards. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler will have a retro-inspired look and shall offer full-LED illumination as well as spoked wheels. It will run on a 411cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 24.3hp of power.
Why does this story matter?
The Scram 411 will serve as the road-biased variant of the Royal Enfield Himalayan ADV. The bike is likely to be suitable for mild off-roading. It will share its mechanicals with the Himalayan but will get cosmetic changes to set itself apart. The two-wheeler will rival the likes of Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, Yezdi Scrambler, and the Honda CB350RS.
The motorbike will have single-piece seat and 19-inch front wheel
Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will sport a sloping fuel tank, "SCRAM 411" logos on the side panels, a single-piece seat with a pillion grab rail, side-mounted exhaust, and round mirrors. The bike will have all-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster with support for Tripper Navigation, and single/dual-tone paintwork. It will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels shod in dual-purpose tires.
It will run on a 24hp, 411cc engine
Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will be fueled by a 411cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor generates a maximum power of 24.3hp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 32Nm at 4,000-4,500rpm.
It will get a rear mono-shock unit
In terms of safety equipment, the Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 will be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for better handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the scrambler bike will be taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
