Royal Enfield Guerilla 450 to debut in late-2024: Expected features
The highly anticipated Guerilla 450, a neo-retro naked roadster from Royal Enfield, is set to be released in the coming months. The motorcycle has been undergoing extensive testing in India, and its design cues are inspired by the entry-level Hunter 350. While the official launch date remains undisclosed, it is expected that the Guerilla 450 will hit the market, during the second half of this year.
Guerilla 450: A blend of classic and contemporary
The Guerilla 450 is tipped to sport a neo-retro design similar to the Triumph Speed 400. The motorcycle aims to strike a balance between classic and contemporary, promising to offer a blend of classic looks with a powerful engine. Its price tag is anticipated to be around ₹2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is speculated to be a more upscale and powerful option in comparison to the Hunter, while sharing several features with the new Himalayan.
Power-packed engine and elegant design
Guerilla 450 will be powered by a Sherpa 450 liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine. It will generate 39.5hp of power and 40Nm of torque. This robust mill will be paired with a six-speed gearbox, and will feature a standard slipper/assist clutch. The motorcycle will ride on 17-inch sleek black alloy wheels. Suspension duties will be managed by an offset mono-shock unit at the rear while disc brakes, aided by dual-channel ABS, will ensure optimal braking.
Guerilla 450 will be equipped with advanced features
The Guerilla 450 will come equipped with a host of features, including a Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument console and turn-by-turn navigation. It will also have switchable rear ABS, a ride-by-wire throttle system, multiple ride modes, and a slightly upright handlebar. As part of its strategy for the current financial year, Royal Enfield aims to bolster its flagship 650 range while also broadening the 350cc portfolio. The company also has several new 450cc motorcycles in the pipeline, including a scrambler.
