Royal Enfield files trademark for 'Classic 650 Twin' model
Royal Enfield has applied for a trademark for its upcoming motorcycle model, the 'Classic 650 Twin.' This new addition to the brand's line-up is expected to merge the timeless look of the Classic 350, with a powerful 648cc twin-cylinder motor. The design of this anticipated model is predicted to closely mirror that of its smaller counterpart, with an additional peashooter pipe on the left-hand side.
Classic 650 Twin will share frame with Shotgun
The Classic 650 Twin has been spotted in testing multiple times, indicating its imminent launch. Interestingly, it appears to share its main frame with another RE model, the Shotgun, rather than the Interceptor. The motorcycle's engine will be a robust 648cc, twin-cylinder that is expected to deliver an output of 47hp and 52Nm of torque. This performance aligns with RE's other four 650cc models currently available in the market.
It will feature LED headlight, dual exhaust pipes
The Classic 650 Twin will feature an LED headlight, a common element across all new RE bikes, that first arrived on the Super Meteor. Additionally, the new model will sport dual exhaust pipes that protrude significantly, a design aspect similar to the Shotgun and other 650 twins - the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. These features are expected to enhance both aesthetics and performance of this eagerly awaited motorcycle.
Classic 650 Twin part of RE's five launches this year
The launch of the Classic 650 Twin is part of Royal Enfield's ambitious plan to introduce five new models in this financial year. The new model is expected to be priced between ₹3.30 lakh to ₹3.70 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it between the Interceptor and Super Meteor in terms of cost. This strategic pricing is anticipated to attract a wide range of motorcycle enthusiasts, further expanding RE's market presence.
