Royal Enfield launches affordable Classic 350 S in India
In a bid to attract more buyers, Royal Enfield has launched a more affordable Classic 350 S motorcycle in India, priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh. In the all-new cruiser, which is Rs. 9,000 cheaper than the standard Classic 350, the chrome elements have been replaced with a blacked-out theme. It also comes with single-channel ABS in order to keep the prices down. Here's more.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 S: At a glance
The Classic 350 S features a naked street look with rounded headlamp, mirrors, and indicators - just like Classic 350. However, the engine, mirrors, mud guards, and wheels on the new variant get a blacked-out treatment as against the chrome elements that we have seen on the standard model. Further, the motorcycle sports an analog instrument panel, halogen headlamp, bulb indicators, and LED taillight.
Power and performance
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 S retains the mechanical specifications of the standard model. Hence, it is powered by 346cc air-cooled single cylinder engine which is capable of producing 19.8bhp of power and 28Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and promises a mileage of 40.8kmpl.
Royal Enfield Classic 350 S: On the road
For braking performance, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S comes equipped with disc brakes on both wheels along with single-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. The motorcycle houses conventional telescopic forks on the front side along with twin gas-charged shock absorbers on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
