Rolls-Royce Cullinan (facelift) debuts in India at ₹10.5 crore
Rolls-Royce has introduced the facelifted version of its luxury SUV, the Cullinan, in India. The standard model is priced at ₹10.50 crore while the Black Badge variant starts from ₹12.25 crore. This updated model, officially known as the Cullinan Series II, was first unveiled globally in May 2024. Now it has arrived on Indian shores, flaunting new styling and advanced technology features.
Cullinan Series II: A look at the design
The Cullinan Series II showcases several design enhancements. The front end features slimmer headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs that extend to the bumper, a slightly redesigned grille, and an updated bumper. New wheels and a restyled rear bumper with a fresh stainless-steel skid plate are also part of this facelifted model's exterior upgrades.
Inside the cabin
The interior of the Cullinan Series II has been revamped with a full-width glass panel across the dashboard. A new display 'cabinet' in the dash houses an intricately detailed analog clock and a miniaturized, illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. The SUV also features Rolls's latest Spirit infotainment system, offering new graphics and displays for enhanced user experience. Owners can customize the color of the instruments to match the paint or upholstery.
It retains its powerful V12 engine
Under the hood, the Cullinan Series II retains its powerful 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine. The standard variant delivers 571hp and 850Nm of torque, while the Black Badge version ups the output to 600hp and 900Nm. This robust engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox that distributes power to all four wheels, ensuring a smooth and responsive drive.
Cullinan Series II is the most expensive SUV in India
The updated Cullinan is significantly pricier than its predecessor, with an increase of around ₹3.55 crore for the standard model and a ₹4.05 crore hike for the Black Badge variant. Rolls-Royce confirms that deliveries of the Cullinan Series II in India will begin in Q4 2024. With no direct competitors at its price point, it continues to hold its position as India's most expensive SUV.
