Here's a look at the upcoming Renault KWID
The 2019 Renault KWID will come with a compact look featuring redesigned front and rear bumpers, cascading front grille, bumper-mounted headlamps, body-colored ORVMs, and blacked out roof rails as well as wheel arches. For lighting, the new model will get LED headlights, LED DRLs, and halogen taillights with LED inserts.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Renault KWID will sport a five-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, redesigned AC vents, and a new three-spoked multifunctional steering wheel which is also used in Renault Triber. Talking about electronic features, it will get an 8-inch LCD infotainment panel with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay- same as the Triber.
Power and performance
The 2019 Renault KWID will retain the mechanical specifications of the current model. Hence, it will be available in 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter petrol engine options. The 0.8-liter unit churns out 54hp of power and 72Nm of peak torque, while the bigger 1.0-liter mill produces 68hp power and 91Nm peak torque. Moreover, it will be available in both manual and automatic gearbox options.
And, what will be the pricing?
As far as pricing is concerned, the new Renault KWID is expected to fall under Rs. 3-6 lakh price bracket. However, official details will be revealed during the launch event itself. At this price point, it will go up against rivals such as Datsun redi-GO, Maruti Suzuki Alto 800, and Hyundai Grand I10 Nios.
