Here's how the 2019 Renault KWID will look like
Renault India is gearing up to launch the KWID facelift sometime around next month. In the latest update, French automaker has released an official teaser, showcasing the front view of the upcoming hatchback. Meanwhile, the teaser confirms the previous speculations that the 2019 KWID would look similar to the City K-ZE, the all-electric car sold in China. Here's a sneak peek at the hatchback.
First, a look at the official teaser
Renault KWID facelift: At a glance
Going by the official teaser and spy shots, the 2019 Renault KWID will come with revamped front and rear bumpers. The DRLs of the car will be mounted on the upper section, while the front bumper will house the headlights. Further, the hatchback will get blacked-out roof rails along with orange accents on the ORVMs and around the headlights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the five-seater KWID facelift will sport a dual-tone cabin with black and orange color schemes and a multifunctional steering wheel borrowed from the recently-launched Triber. The hatchback is likely to sport a fully-digital instrument console and an 8-inch infotainment panel with support for connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Power and performance
The 2019 Renault KWID will retain the mechanical specifications of the current model. Hence, it will be available in 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter petrol engine options. The 0.8-liter unit churns out 54hp of power and 72Nm of peak torque, while the bigger 1.0-liter mill produces 68hp power and 91Nm peak torque. For transmission duties, it will get a five-speed manual gearbox and an AMT box.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
As far as pricing is concerned, the facelifted Renault KWID is expected to fall under Rs. 3-5 lakh price bracket. However, official details will be revealed later. Once launched, it will lock horns with Hyundai Grand I10 Nios and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.
