Why does this story matter?
The Tata Tigor EV is a good-looking car with competitive pricing and decent performance. Raising the vehicle's price in India, however, might prompt potential buyers to either look for alternatives or wait for discounts. Notably, the Tigor EV is not the only Tata model to get a price hike. The Nexon EV has also become costlier and now begins at Rs. 14.54 lakh.
The car has projector headlamps and 14-inch wheels
The Tata Tigor EV has a sloping roofline, a sculpted bonnet, a sleek grille with blue accents, a wide air dam, and projector headlights with LED DRLs. It is flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, auto-folding ORVMs, and 14-inch wheels. A shark-fin antenna and wrap-around LED taillamps grace the rear end. Dimensions-wise, it has a wheelbase of 2,450mm and a ground clearance of 172mm.
It runs on a 74hp electric powertrain
The Tata Tigor EV packs an electric motor linked to a 26kWh liquid-cooled battery pack. The setup delivers a combined output of 74hp/170Nm and allows the vehicle to deliver a range of 306km on a single charge.
The sedan gets dual airbags and five seats
The Tata Tigor EV has a spacious 5-seater cabin with a cooled glovebox, fabric upholstery, automatic climate control, and a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel. It houses a digital instrument cluster and a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety of the passengers is ensured by dual airbags, a rear-view camera, speed-sensing door locks, and ABS with EBD.
