Royal Enfield Classic 350 becomes costlier: Check new prices
Chennai-based Royal Enfield has increased the prices of its Classic 350 bike in India. It is the second hike for the two-wheeler here within a span of five months. Now, the vehicle has become costlier by Rs. 2,846 and starts at Rs. 1.9 lakh. The cruiser is up for grabs in five variants, namely Redditch, Halcyon, Signals, Dark, and Chrome.
Why does this story matter?
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been available in India for quite some time. Long waiting periods and a second price-hike after January this year, meanwhile, might prompt potential buyers to look for alternatives such as JAWA and Yezdi. However, the hike is not unexpected considering the rising input costs borne by the company.
The bike has a round headlight and 13-liter fuel tank
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 sits on a twin downtube frame and features a retro-looking, teardrop-shaped 13-liter fuel tank, a rider-only saddle, a lengthy exhaust, and circular mirrors. It packs a USB socket, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a halogen headlamp, and a bulb taillight. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, in spoked or alloy configuration.
It runs on a 20hp, 349cc engine
The Classic 350 draws power from a BS6-compliant 349cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that generates 20hp/28Nm. The motor is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike can sprint from 0-100km/h in 16.3 seconds.
It gets dual-channel ABS
To ensure the safety of the rider, Royal Enfield has equipped the Classic 350 with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS, to avoid skidding on the roads while braking. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are carried out by telescopic forks on the front side and dual shock absorbers on the rear end.
Royal Enfield Classic 350: Price
Following the latest hike in India, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 now starts at Rs. 1.9 lakh for the base Redditch model and goes up to Rs. 2.21 lakh for the top-of-the-line Chrome variant (all prices, ex-showroom).
