Kia Carens MPV becomes costlier in India: Check new prices
South Korean automaker Kia Motors has raised the prices of its Carens MPV in India. After the price revision, the four-wheeler has become costlier by up to Rs. 60,000 and starts at Rs. 9.6 lakh. As for the highlights, the car has an imposing design, a feature-loaded cabin, and is offered with a choice of petrol as well as diesel engines.

The car has a chrome-surrounded grille and 16-inch wheels
The Kia Carens flaunts a muscular bonnet, a sleek chrome bar, a chrome-surrounded grille, and split-style LED headlights. On the sides, it is flanked by roof rails, black B-pillars, ORVMs, and designer 16-inch alloy wheels. A shark-fin antenna and wraparound LED taillights are available on the rear end. Dimensions-wise, it has a wheelbase of 2,780mm and a length of 4,540mm.
Three engine choices are available
Kia Carens runs on a 1.5-liter petrol engine that makes 113hp/144Nm, a 1.4-liter turbo-petrol mill that generates 138hp/242Nm, and a 1.5-liter diesel unit that puts out 113hp/250Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
The MPV gets ventilated seats and six airbags
The Kia Carens has a spacious 6/7-seater cabin with automatic climate control, retractable rear trays with cupholders, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and a multifunctional steering wheel. It houses a digital instrument cluster, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with Apple CarPlay support. The passengers' safety is ensured by six airbags, a rear-view camera, and ABS.

In India, the Kia Carens MPV now starts at Rs. 9.6 lakh for the base Premium (petrol) model and goes up to Rs. 17.7 lakh for the range-topping Luxury Plus trim (all prices, ex-showroom).
