MG SUVs become more expensive in India: Check new prices
British automaker MG Motor has raised the prices of select cars in India such as the Hector, Hector Plus, and Gloster. Following the price-revision in our country, the vehicles have become costlier by up to Rs. 50,000 and start at Rs. 14.15 lakh for the Hector model. Notably, the costs of the Astor and ZS EV remain unchanged, at least for now.
Why does this story matter?
Due to rising input costs and disturbed global supply chain, several automakers in India are raising the prices of their models and MG Motor is no exception. While Tata Motors and Mercedes-Benz have raised prices by 2.5% and 3% respectively, BMW and Toyota cars are now costlier by 3.5% and 4%. Such hikes are likely to dissuade customers from buying new cars.
