2021 MG Hector becomes costlier in India by Rs. 10,000
MG Motor has raised the prices of its facelifted Hector SUV in India in less than a month of its arrival in the country. With the latest price-revision, the hi-end Smart and Sharp trims have become costlier by Rs. 10,000. However, the prices of the more affordable Style and Super variants remain unchanged. 2021 MG Hector: At a glance
The facelifted MG Hector has a sporty look. It features a chrome-surrounded grille, a large air vent, silver skid plates, and an integrated antenna. For lighting, it houses sleek LED headlamps, LED DRLs, cornering foglights, and LED taillights. On the sides, the car is flanked by roof rails, power-adjustable ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, black plastic cladding, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Power and performance
The 2021 MG Hector is available with three engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel motor that generates 167.7hp/350Nm, a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol unit that delivers 141hp/250Nm, and a 1.5-liter petrol-hybrid that produces 141hp/250Nm. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual and a DCT automatic gearbox.
Inside the cabin
The 2021 MG Hector offers a 5-seater cabin with ventilated leather seats, a dual-tone dashboard, ambient lighting, a multifunctional steering wheel, sunroof, and automatic climate control. It packs eight speakers and a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for i-SMART system, 35+ Hinglish voice commands, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. For safety, there are six airbags, ABS with EBD, and a 360-degree-view camera.
What are the revised prices?
Following the latest price-revision, the updated MG Hector carries the same starting price of Rs. 12.90 lakh for the base Style variant and goes up to Rs. 18.63 lakh for the top-end Sharp model (both prices, ex-showroom).
