Moto Morini slashes prices of X-Cape 650 range in India
Moto Morini has announced a significant price reduction for its X Cape 650 range of motorcycles in India. The X Cape 650 and X Cape 650X, originally priced at ₹7.30 lakh and ₹7.50 lakh respectively, have seen a price cut by ₹1.31 lakh and ₹1 lakh, respectively. The revised prices are now ₹5.99 lakh for the X Cape 650, and ₹6.49 lakh for the X Cape 650X.
Reason behind price cut
Moto Morini has stated that the price revision is part of its vision for 2024, which includes expanding its dealership network in India and its product portfolio. The price cut is reportedly because of negotiations with the global team, allowing for certain offers on select models. This strategic move aims to make the X-Cape 650 range more accessible to Indian consumers.
Specifications and features
The Moto Morini X Cape 650 range is powered by a liquid-cooled, 649cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 60hp at 8,250rpm, and delivers a torque of 54Nm at 7,000rpm. The motorcycles come equipped with features like a Marzocchi adjustable fork, KYB rear shocks, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, Brembo brakes, and Bosch dual-channel ABS. Additionally, they feature a 7.0-inch TFT color display with Bluetooth connectivity, and a tire pressure monitoring system as standard.
Off-road capabilities and market competition
Despite lacking traction control and riding modes, the X-Cape 650 range does offer off-road ABS, which disengages the ABS on the rear wheel. The 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear rim are spoked and tubeless, enhancing the motorcycle's off-road capabilities. In terms of market competition, the Moto Morini X-Cape 650 competes with models such as the Kawasaki Versys 650, Benelli TRK 502, and the Honda NX500.
