Porsche Cayenne Coupe to launch in India in December
German automaker Porsche is all set to launch the Cayenne Coupe in India in December 2019, according to Autocar. The ultra luxurious SUV, which was unveiled globally in March this year, is loaded with a bunch of hi-tech features. However, mechanically, it is the same as standard Cayenne model and is available in two engine options. Here's our roundup.
Porsche Cayenne Coupe: At a glance
Porsche Cayenne Coupe sports a premium design with a sloping roof, body-colored rear spoiler, dual exhausts, and 22-inch alloy wheels. The car comes with a blackened roof, electronically adjustable ORVMs, and an LED strip on the boot lid connecting the taillamps. It also gets an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, turn indicators, and taillights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the Cayenne Coupe comes with a five-seater cabin with ventilated seats wrapped in leather, a glass panoramic sunroof (carbon-fiber roof as optional), and automatic climate control. As for electronic features, the car comes with BOSE's surround sound system and a 12.3-inch infotainment panel with 'Porsche Connect' connectivity feature. In addition, it also gets a heads-up display, massage function, and ambient lighting.
Power and performance
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is available in two engine options: a 3.0-liter V6 engine and a 4.0-liter V8 unit. The former is capable of producing 340bhp of power and 450Nm of peak torque, while the latter churns out 550bhp and 770Nm. For transmission duties, it gets an 8-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all wheels.
Here's a look at the safety features
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe comes equipped with disc brakes on all the wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for improved road handling. The car offers a bunch of driver centric features including park assist, night vision assist, and collision and brake assist. Further, the car comes with 8 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and engine immobilizer for anti-theft provisions.
Finally, what about pricing?
There is no word on Cayenne Coupe's India pricing as of now. However, going by the specs, we expect it to arrive at a price of over Rs. 1 crore. But, the official details will be revealed during the launch event itself.
