Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years launched in India at ₹4cr
Porsche has introduced its 911 Turbo 50 Years model in the Indian market, with a price of ₹4.05 crore (ex-showroom). This special edition car is a tribute to the 50-year legacy of the first 911 Turbo. The production run for this vehicle is limited to just 1,974 units worldwide, reflecting the year when the original model was launched.
The vehicle's based on the previous 992.1 generation
The 911 Turbo 50 Years model is priced significantly higher than its siblings, the 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS. It is based on the previous 992.1 generation of the iconic sports car series, unlike its counterparts which are built on the latest 992.2 generation platform. The design of this limited-edition four-wheeler features unique vinyl graphics, reminiscent of those found on Porsche's heritage models such as the RSR Turbo concept car.
The car comes with a Heritage Design package
Porsche offers a Heritage Design Package for the 911 Turbo 50 Years model. This includes an Aventurine Green Metallic paint finish, satin white graphics, and the iconic 1964 Porsche crest on the bonnet. The package also features Sport Classic rims, and gold-finished Turbo 50 and Porsche logos at the rear. Inside, seats and doors are covered in classic Mackenzie tartan fabric, with exterior color accents used for interior highlights.
It runs on a 650hp, 3.7-liter engine
The 911 Turbo 50 Years model is powered by a robust 3.7-liter, twin-turbo, flat-six petrol engine that delivers an impressive output of 650hp and peak torque of 800Nm. Porsche claims that this limited edition vehicle can accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h in just 2.7 seconds, and reach a top speed of up to 330km/h. This power output makes it more than twice as powerful as the original model launched in 1974.
