Pagani Huayra R track-only supercar, with 850hp V12 engine, unveiled
Italian automaker Pagani has unveiled its limited-run, track-only Huayra R supercar. Its production will be limited to just 30 units. As for the highlights, the vehicle has an aggressive look and a 2-seater cabin with many features. It draws power from a 6.0-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine engineered and manufactured by Mercedes-Benz's HWA AG racing team. Here are more details.
The car has eye-shaped headlamps and rides on 19-inch wheels
Pagani Huayra R sits on a carbon-titanium monocoque chassis and features a muscular bonnet, wide air dam, and eye-shaped headlights. It is flanked by ORVMs, an Italian flag motif, and 19-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires. A large wing, pair of aero flaps, and quad exhaust tips are available on the rear. Optional mufflers for reducing exhaust sound on noise-restricted tracks are also available.
The vehicle has a 2-seater cabin with many safety features
Pagani Huayra R has a luxurious 2-seater cabin featuring flame-proof materials, a full roll-cage, and fire extinguishers to meet the FIA GT safety standards. It houses a high-resolution display and a quick-release steering wheel with controls for radio, ABS, and traction control mounted on it.
It runs on a 850hp, V12 engine
The Pagani Huayra R draws power from a 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that generates a maximum power of 850hp and a peak torque of 750Nm. The power output comes with a 9,000rpm redline and should result in a brutal exhaust note. The mill is linked to a 6-speed non-synchronized dog-ring sequential gearbox. The hypercar generates 1,000kg of downforce at 320km/h.
Pagani Huayra R: Pricing and availability
In Europe, the Pagani Huayra R track-only supercar carries a price-tag of €2.6 million (approximately Rs. 22.5 crore). Only 30 units of the vehicle will be manufactured and some units are still available for interested customers, according to the company.
