Oben Rorr e-bike, with 200km range, launched at Rs. 99,999
Bengaluru-based Oben Electric has launched its Rorr motorbike in India. Its deliveries will commence from July onward. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has a stylish look and gets an LCD instrument console as well as an LED headlight. It is fueled by an electric powertrain and promises a range of up to 200km on a single charge.
Why does this story matter?
The Rorr is Oben Electric's first two-wheeler in India and its good looks and decent performance should attract quite a few buyers in the country. The motorcycle has been priced competitively and is tipped to raise the rivalry in the electric two-wheeler segment to a great extent. It goes against opponents such as the Tork Kratos and Revolt RV400.
The motorcycle has alloy wheels and split-style seats
The Oben Rorr has a muscular fuel tank-like structure with extensions, split-style seats, a pillion grab rail, high-set handlebars, a circular headlight, and arrowhead-shaped mirrors. The bike packs an LED headlight with an integrated LED DRL and an LCD instrument console with support for smartphone connectivity. It rides on blacked-out multi-spoke alloy wheels and tips the scales at 130kg.
It attains a top-speed of 100km/h
Oben Rorr packs a 10kW electric motor linked to an IP67-rated 4.4kWh battery pack. The motorbike can sprint from 0-40km/h in three seconds, hit a top-speed of 100km/h, and boasts a range of up to 200km per charge.
It gets three riding modes
In terms of safety equipment, the Oben Rorr is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with a combined braking system and three riding modes (HAVOC, CITY, and ECO) for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the two-wheeler are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.
