Norton Motorcycles introduces 'One of One' customization program
TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has launched a new customization program, aptly named 'One of One.' This initiative allows motorcycle owners to personalize their bikes by choosing the paint, color, and design features. The customization options are available for the Commando 961, V4SV, and V4CR models. The extent of personalization depends on the specific model chosen by the customer.
Customization details for different Norton models
The level of customization varies with the Norton motorcycle model. For the Commando 961, changes can be made to the fuel tank, tail unit, and airbox. On the other hand, owners of V4CR and V4SV models have the liberty to design complete fairings and exterior panels as per their preferences. The personalization process is initiated by a Norton consultant who discusses ideas with customers.
The personalization process and project duration
After the initial discussion with a Norton consultant, the team creates renderings for the chosen model and sends them to the customer for approval. Once approved, customers are required to pay a deposit to secure their build. The duration of each project varies based on its final specifications and complexity, with Norton Motorcycles estimating a timeline of four to six months per project.
Norton showcases first 'One of one' customized motorcycle
Norton Motorcycles recently unveiled its first motorcycle under the 'One of One' customization program. The bike, named the V4SV 'White Charger' replica, is a recreation of the Rotary Norton RCW588 race bike that won the 1992 Senior Isle of Man TT race under Steve Hislop. This custom-painted bike will be displayed at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham alongside its original race counterpart.
