Nissan unveils 2024 Qashqai SUV with major design changes

Nissan has unveiled the facelifted Qashqai SUV. The new design brings the Qashqai in line with the Ariya EV.
The updated model now features sharper lines and an aggressive new face inspired by Japanese samurai helmets.
The headlights and daytime running lights have been split into three distinct elements, symbolizing horns above the new "eye" projectors.

Qashqai's new look inspired by ancient Japanese warriors
The redesigned Qashqai features a significantly larger grille area finished in black and satin-silver chrome, intended to evoke the chainmail armor of ancient Japanese soldiers.
The rear end has been updated with a new set of clear LED lights styled to match those at the front. Additionally, the lower bumper has been reprofiled for a sportier look.
Nissan stated that the technical brief for this update was to enhance efficiency and rolling refinement.
Tech boost
Enhanced efficiency and tech upgrades in new Qashqai
The windows of the redesigned Qashqai have been thickened to further reduce wind noise at speed.
The SUV is ofered with a choice of 140hp and 150hp mild-hybrid petrols, plus the 190hp full hybrid variant.
Significant upgrades have also been made to the computers underpinning the Qashqai's digital interfaces, boosting graphic quality and processing times.
Infotainment overhaul
Qashqai's infotainment system gets major upgrade
The infotainment's computer in the new Qashqai is now more powerful, enabling a move to Google's Android Auto operating system on higher trim levels.
This upgrade allows certain apps to run natively on the system and be shown across the instrument panel.
The security system of the Qashqai has also been enhanced; Nissan Connect app now provides live tracking of the car's location and can alert Nissan, insurers, and authorities if the car is stolen.
