Nissan Magnite Red Edition debuts in India: Check price, features
Nissan has launched the Red Edition of the Magnite in India at Rs. 7.86 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on mid-spec XV trim and is available with three powertrain options. The Japanese automaker had opened the order books for this version of the SUV on July 8 for a token of Rs. 11,000. The four-wheeler features red-colored accents all over the body.
Why does this story matter?
Nissan had a strong comeback in the Indian market with the Magnite. It took the sub-4 meter SUV segment by the storm due to its aggressive styling, a tech-forward cabin, and a competitive price tag. The Japanese carmaker has delivered over 50,000 units of the vehicle and has received over one lakh bookings to date. The Red Edition is launched to celebrate this achievement.
The SUV flaunts projector headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels
The Nissan Magnite Red Edition sports red-colored accents on various body panels. It has a long and sculpted bonnet, a chrome-surrounded hexagonal grille, projector LED headlights, bumper-mounted L-shaped DRLs, and a skid plate. On the sides, it is flanked by black B-pillars, ORVMs, roof rails, and 16-inch designer alloy wheels. Wrap-around LED taillights and a shark-fin antenna grace the rear end of the SUV.
It is offered with three powertrain options
The Red Edition Nissan Magnite is available with a 1.0-liter naturally-aspirated, petrol engine that generates 71hp/96Nm and a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine available in two states of tune: 98.63hp/160Nm (manual) and 98.63hp/152Nm (automatic). Transmission duties are handled by either a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
The car features a dual-tone dashboard and wireless charger
Inside, the Magnite Red Edition has a five-seater cabin with a dual-tone dashboard in red and black colors, leatherette upholstery, wireless charger, red-colored ambient lighting, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and a multifunctional steering wheel. It houses a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passengers' safety is ensured by multiple airbags.
