Nissan's Hyper Force EV looks like a zero-emission Batmobile
Nissan unveiled its high-performance electric vehicle concept, the Hyper Force, at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show. This striking design includes a prominent rear wing, butterfly doors, and a shape that brings to mind the GT-R R35. Although Nissan has not officially stated that the Hyper Force is a precursor to the R36, its design features and four round taillights imply a strong link to the legendary Godzilla.
Striking design and futuristic elements
The Hyper Force concept showcases bold styling with front canards and electrically controlled vents on the front fenders. A huge wing adorns the rear, while the butterfly doors and rear diffuser add to its cutting-edge look. Riding on forged carbon rims, the vehicle appears as if it came straight from a Gundam series. If a production model is in the works as the next GT-R, it will likely be significantly toned down.
Track-focused interior and driving modes
Inside the Hyper Force, the interior is reminiscent of a PC gaming case, complete with an array of LEDs. Designed with track performance in mind, it features a racing wheel instead of a conventional round steering wheel. The angular seats offer excellent lateral support and are made from carbon fiber shells, ensuring comfort for both driver and passenger. The concept car provides two driving modes: R (racing) and GT (grand touring), further alluding to its GT-R heritage.
It delivers a top speed of 320km/h
Powered by solid-state batteries, the Hyper Force delivers an impressive 1,341hp and employs Nissan's e-4ORCE system, which refers to all-wheel drive powered by front and rear motors. While other specifications have not been disclosed, an official image displays a head-up display indicating 320km/h top speed. The timeline for an R36 production model remains unclear, as the R35 took six years to transition from concept to production.
