Nissan's concept electric car seems like the perfect adventure vehicle
Nissan has unveiled an electric vehicle concept, the Hyper Adventure Concept, just before the Japan Mobility Show 2023. This eco-friendly crossover is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, featuring traditional front doors and butterfly rear doors. Nissan says this vehicle is the ultimate companion for weekend getaways or long trips to remote locations, thanks to its large battery and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) capabilities.
Innovative design and retractable trunk steps
The Hyper Adventure Concept sports sleek body panels and a front spoiler that improves aerodynamics by directing airflow. It comes with crampons on all four tires and both front and rear bumpers, making it easy to drive in snowy conditions. Plus, the concept car has auto-extending and retracting steps at the back, which come in handy when putting on heavy snow shoes or loading gear.
Spacious interior with rotating rear bench seat
Inside the Hyper Adventure Concept, you'll find an instrument panel that connects to the bottom of the windshield. It doubles as a screen with a wide field of view. The seats are made of a mix of cloth and straps, offering plenty of room for outdoor equipment such as tents, skis, and kayaks. The rear bench seat can rotate 180 degrees, providing a comfy spot to sit while gearing up for a hike or just taking in the scenery.
The vehicle gets an e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system
Nissan's e-4ORCE electric all-wheel-drive system ensures the Hyper Adventure Concept can reach far-off destinations without getting stuck. While Nissan hasn't revealed the capacity of the high-voltage battery, its V2X feature allows it to power various devices. These include a kettle to a home (using vehicle-to-home or V2H) and even to the grid (via vehicle-to-grid or V2G), depending on the battery's charge level.
