Next-generation Audi Q3 to launch in India in early 2020
Audi is gearing up to launch next-generation Q3 SUV in India sometime within the first quarter of 2020. Debuted at 2018 Paris Motor Show, the new Q3 comes with minor design tweaks and offers more features than the current-generation model. It is also touted to be one of the safest cars as it has scored the highest five-star rating in Euro NCAP crash test.
Next-gen Audi Q3: At a glance
The next-gen Audi Q3 features a premium sporty look with a chrome-finished octagonal grille and triangular air-intakes. On the rear, it houses dual exhausts and body-colored roof spoiler. The windows of SUV are surrounded by a chrome frame while the ORVMs and door handles are painted in body color. Moreover, it gets an all-LED lighting setup along with optional Matrix LED headlights.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the next-gen Audi Q3 features a premium five-seater cabin with leather upholstery, panoramic glass sunroof, and a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel. The SUV gets a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel as standard while the higher variants sport a 12.3-inch Audi's Virtual Cockpit display. It also offers features such as Bang & Olufsen sound system, USB charging support, and automatic climate control.
Power and performance
Internationally, the next-gen Audi Q3 is offered in three engine options. The entry-level 1.5-liter petrol engine churns out 150hp of power, while 2.0-liter petrol unit, in two states of tune, produces 190hp and 230hp of maximum power. Further, the 2.0-liter diesel mill, also in two states of tunes, makes 150hp and 190hp of power.
Next-gen Audi Q3: On the road
The next-gen Audi Q3 comes equipped with disc brakes on all four wheels along with ABS, EBD, and traction control for better grip on the road. The car packs dual-front airbags as standard along with a 360-degree camera and rear sensors for parking assistance. Moreover, it gets a host of driver assist features including adaptive speed assist, traffic jam assist, and active lane assist.
And, what will be the pricing?
In India, the incumbent Audi Q3 falls under Rs. 35-43 lakh price bracket. Hence, we expect the next-gen Q3 to arrive at a similar price in the country. Meanwhile, official details will be revealed during launch event which is set to happen within Q1 2020.
