MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR breaks cover: Details here

    What's the story

Italian automaker MV Agusta has pulled the covers off its flagship motorcycle, the Brutale 1000 RR.

The new sports tourer is based on the Brutale Serie Oro bike, a limited-edition model which was unveiled last year.

However, the Brutale 1000 RR, which currently packs Euro 4-compliant engine, is unlikely to reach Indian shores anytime soon considering the upcoming emission norms.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

First, here's a look at the motorcycle

The 2020 Brutale 1000 RR sports a naked street design featuring a dual-tone color scheme with body-colored accents on the seats as well as alloy wheels, a rounded headlamp, and golden-colored front forks.

The muscular-looking fuel tank, exposed engine, and dual exhausts add to its aggressive styling.

The premium two-wheeler also gets a fully-digital instrument cluster and an all-LED setup for lighting.

    Internals

    Power and performance

The MV Agusta Brutale 1000 RR borrows the 998cc engine from the Serie Oro. However, the mill is tuned differently and churns out 210.8 PS of power and 116.6Nm of peak torque.

The transmission duties on the motorcycle are handled by a 7-speed manual gearbox, along with bi-directional quickshifter and a slipper clutch.

    Safety

    What about safety features?

The 2020 Brutale 1000 RR comes equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both wheels, along with 8-level IMU traction control.

The motorcycle also gets Bosch 9 Plus ABS with race mode setting and rear-wheel lift-up mitigation system for improved road handling.

For suspension duties, it houses Ohlins' upside-down forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear.

    Information

    And, what about pricing?

The company has revealed the price of 2020 Brutale 1000 RR for European markets. It is priced at EUR 30,000 (approximately Rs. 23.67 lakh) as against the Brutale Serie Oro which costs EUR 42,990 (approximately Rs. 33.93 lakh).
