MV Agusta's superbike Turismo Veloce 800 is almost here
Italian superbike maker MV Agusta is all set to launch the Turismo Veloce 800 in India tomorrow, August 29. The upcoming motorcycle features a semi-faired sporty look and shares its mechanical specifications with the F3 800 and F4 sportbikes. In India, it is expected to arrive at a price of around Rs. 19 lakh. Here is our roundup.

The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 features a semi-faired sporty look with a sculpted fuel tank, tall windscreen, split seats, and 17-inch alloy wheels. As for electronic features, the motorcycle gets a fully-digital instrument panel and an all-LED setup for lighting. Moreover, it has a wheelbase of 1,445mm and a fuel tank capacity of 21.5 liters.
Power and performance
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 draws power from a 798cc liquid-cooled, three cylinder engine which is capable of producing 110PS of power at 10,150rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 7,100rpm. For transmission duties, it gets a six-speed manual gearbox along with slipper clutch.
Here's a look at the safety and suspension setup
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 comes equipped with 320mm disc brake on the front, 220mm disc brake on the rear, along with dual-channel ABS and eight-level traction control for better road handling. To handle suspension duties, the motorcycle gets Marzocchi upside-down (USD) forks on the front and Sachs monoshock suspension on the rear.
And, what about pricing?
As for the pocket pinch, the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce 800 is expected to be priced at around Rs. 19 lakh in India. However, official details will be revealed during the launch event itself. Once launched, it will go up against rivals such as Ducati Multistrada 950 and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx in the country.
