Modenas Karisma 125S goes official in Malaysia: Details here
Malaysian bikemaker Modenas has introduced the Karisma 125S scooter in its home country. It is unclear whether it would be available in India. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler bears a sporty look and gets a USB charging socket, as well as a split-type, LED headlamp. It is powered by a 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9.02hp of power.

The Modenas Karisma 125S is a unique-looking vehicle with good performance and is expected to attract a lot of customers in the Malaysian market. The maxi-style scooter, however, is unlikely to make its way to our shores as the brand has no presence here. If the two-wheeler debuts, it will take on rivals like the TVS NTorq 125.
The scooter has a single-piece seat and upswept exhaust
The Modenas Karisma 125S gets a headlight-mounted front apron, a stepped-up single-piece seat with a pillion grab rail, edgy body panels with "Karisma 125S" graphics, and an upswept exhaust. The scooter packs an all-LED lighting setup, a semi-digital instrument console, and a USB charging port. It can store 5.1-liter of fuel and has a 14-liter under-seat storage compartment.
It is fueled by a 9hp, 125cc engine
The Modenas Karisma 125S maxi-style scooter draws power from a Euro 4-compliant 124.8cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The mill churns out a maximum power of 9.02hp and a peak torque of 10Nm.
It gets a front disc brake
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Modenas Karisma 125S maxi-style scooter is equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear end. Meanwhile, the suspension duties on the two-wheeler are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit on the rear end.

In Malaysia, the Modenas Karisma 125S maxi-style scooter carries a price tag of RM 5,397 (around Rs. 96,813). The vehicle is up for grabs in the country in three color options.
