Japanese automaker Mitsubishi has pulled the covers off its latest SUV, the Pajero Sport Facelift. The new model has received some design and cosmetic upgrades while retaining the mechanical specifications of the current model. Notably, the facelifted model is based on the new-generation Pajero Sport which is available in various global markets and is yet to be introduced in India. Here is our roundup.
Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Facelift: At a glance
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Facelift features a heavy muscular look, thanks to its long wheelbase and high ground clearance. Up front, it gets a redesigned chrome-finished grille and a revamped bumper. On the rear, it gets a new bumper and tweaked tail lamps. Interestingly, the facelifted model also gets a powered tailgate that can be operated via Mitsubishi Remote control.
Inside the cabin
Inside, the facelifted Mitsubishi Pajero Sport features an all-black cabin with chrome accents on doors and dashboard. It also gets a revised multifunctional steering wheel with adaptive cruise control. Talking about electronic features, the SUV gets a dual-zone AC, a 360-degree camera, keyless entry using Mitsubishi Remote Control, and an 8.0-inch LCD infotainment system with Apple CarPlay.
Power and performance
The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Facelift is powered by a 2.4-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine which is capable of producing 181hp of power and 430Nm of peak torque. Further, the SUV gets an eight-speed automatic gearbox along with an optional 4WD system.

The Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Facelift comes equipped with advanced safety features like ABS and EBD for better road handling and rear parking sensors for parking assistance. Moreover, the SUV gets seven airbags and a couple of driver-assist features including lane change assist, blind-spot detection system, and rear traffic alert system.
Will it come to India?
As of now, there is no official word if Mitsubishi would launch the Pajero Sport Facelift in India or not. Presently, the company sells previous-generation Pajero Sport variant in India as against the new-generation model which is already available in international markets.
