MINI announces special edition Resolute, Untamed, and Untold models
To commemorate its 20th anniversary in North America, MINI has revealed three special edition models known as Resolute, Untamed, and Untold. They are offered for the Cooper, Countryman, and Clubman cars, respectively. As for the highlights, the three vehicles sport extensive cosmetic changes both inside and out. However, there are no mechanical changes. They will be up for grabs from April onward.
Why does this story matter?
MINI claims that custom-built cars account for around 60% of its sales. By introducing the three special-edition packages, the brand wants to give buyers more options and boost its revenue. The new models should attract a lot of buyers in the US market. Moreover, if they are introduced in India, the competition in the market will be raised.
The Resolute Edition sports bonnet stripes and Rebel Green paintwork
For the Cooper Hardtop and its convertible variant, the MINI Resolute Edition sports a Pepper White finish on the mirror caps, 18-inch black wheels, and a Rebel Green paintwork. The convertible has a black-colored cloth top. On the Cooper S E electric hatchback, a set of aerodynamic-focused 17-inch wheels, pin-striped door-sill protectors, bonnet stripes, and yellow-and-cream tweed upholstery are available.
The Untamed Edition offers 18-inch wheels and leather upholstery
The Countryman models are available with the MINI Untamed Edition package. It flaunts a Momentum Gray paint job, Frozen Bluestone-colored stripes toward the bottom of the doors, blacked-out roof rails and ORVMs, as well as dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. Highland Green leather upholstery, a backlit panel on the dashboard displaying a mountain scene, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel are available inside.
The Untold Edition has adaptive LED headlamps and sports seats
The Untold Edition of the MINI Cooper Clubman has brass-accented 18-inch wheels, a striped graphic on the bonnet, plastic body cladding, 3D-printed side scuttles, adaptive LED headlights, and a metallic Sage Green paintwork. Inside the cabin, there are sports seats with Sage Green-colored leather upholstery, anthracite-colored roof lining, an Interior Light Package, and door sill protectors with brass accents.
How much do they cost?
In the US, the Mini Cooper Resolute Edition starts at $36,750 (around Rs. 27.5 lakh), the Clubman Untold Edition begins at $42,500 (roughly Rs. 31.8 lakh), and the Countryman Untamed Edition bears a starting price-tag of $42,750 (approx Rs. 32 lakh).
