MINI Clubman and Countryman models get a new Shadow Edition
BMW-owned MINI has launched a Shadow Edition of its Clubman hatchback and Countryman SUV in the UK. As for the highlights, the premium vehicles sport a refreshed styling and offer an upmarket cabin with many new features. They are available with a choice of Cooper and Cooper S petrol engines. MINI Clubman and Countryman Shadow Edition: At a glance
The MINI Clubman and Countryman Shadow Edition sport a glossy black paintwork with contrasting mirror caps and a silver roof. They come with black roof rails, a Shadow logo on the lower roof, a large spoiler, LED lights, and a special graphic on the bonnet as well as A-pillar. The cars run on 19-inch John Cooper Works Circuit Spoke alloy wheels.
Power and performance
The MINI Shadow Editions are offered with a choice of a 134hp, 1.5-liter petrol engine (Cooper) and a 175hp, 2.0-liter petrol mill (Cooper S) linked to manual and automatic gearboxes. The Countryman also comes as a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of around 48km.
A peek inside the cabin
The Shadow Edition has an Anthracite headlining, piano black trim, JCW sports seats, a 5.5-inch digital display cockpit, MINI driving modes, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The optional 'Excitement Pack' offers MINI logo projection and LED mood lighting, while the 'Navigation Pack' includes an 8.8-inch display with Apple CarPlay and MINI Navigation. Comfort, Comfort Plus, and Navigation Plus packs are also available.
What about the pricing?
In the UK, the MINI Clubman Shadow Edition carries a starting price-tag of £26,805 (roughly Rs. 27 lakh) while the Countryman starts at £28,755 (approximately Rs. 29 lakh). The bookings are now open and deliveries should commence in April.
