MG ZS EV (2021) SUV launched at Rs. 21 lakh
British automaker MG Motor has launched the 2021 iteration of its ZS EV SUV in India. It comes in two variants: Excite and Exclusive. As for the highlights, it has a sporty look and a spacious cabin with some new features. It draws power from a 44.5kWh battery pack and delivers a range of 419km/charge. Here are more details.

The MG ZS EV (2021) has a muscular bonnet, a chrome-surrounded grille, a wide air vent, and projector headlights with DRLs. It is flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 17-inch alloy wheels. On the rear end, wrap-around taillamps, a window wiper, and an integrated spoiler are present. Dimensions-wise, it has a wheelbase of 2,585mm and a ground clearance of 177mm.
Power and performance
The MG ZS EV (2021) packs a 3-phase permanent synchronous motor and a 44.5kWh battery. The combination generates 143hp/353Nm and is linked to an automatic gearbox. The car delivers a range of around 419km/charge and sprints from 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds.
A peek inside the cabin
The MG ZS EV (2021) has a spacious 5-seater cabin with leather seats, auto climate control, and a multifunctional power steering wheel. It houses an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for i-SMART EV 2.0 connected car technology. It also supports Hinglish voice commands. For safety, the SUV offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, an engine immobilizer, and a rear-view camera.
